Barfoot & Thompson

Royal Oak - Heritage


Barfoot and Thompson Royal Oak was first constructed in the 1800's.  CDM were tasked with developing a design to accommodate a modern real estate office, whilst retaining the exterior heritage status as is so well known in the Royal Oak area.

CDM undertook preliminary design work to find an interior layout that suited the client’s needs, at the same time designing a suitable structure to retain the building’s exterior envelope.  Heritage planning and reports were completed, along with Building and resource consents.

Barfoot and Thompson

Epsom - Construction


The Epsom office did not comply with the new building code and any change to the structure would require major seismic upgrades.  The client chose to demolish the existing building and construct new premises.

CDM produced full resource and building consent documentation including all consultants.  Arranged temporary premises for the branch and moved them before construction.  From there demolition commenced into staged construction, full access through a shared driveway to the neighbouring building occurred for the entire project.

The Fono

In Auckland Central - Dental


The Fono is a not for profit organisation dedicated to providing affordable healthcare and community services to a broad section of Auckland’s community.

Their Auckland city practice was in desperate need of both refurbishment and thoughtful design.

After approaching a number of potential construction companies CDM was awarded the contract to undertake the refurbishment.
