Grill@42 Restaurant & Bar

The new proprietors took over a rather tired & rundown premises left by the previous tenant.

The bar & service counter area dominated almost the entire front of the premises visually cutting off access to the restaurant areas behind it. The new owners wanted a greater emphasis on the restaurant part of the business. In order to achieve this the Bar Area needed to be remodelled & shifted into the back corner of the lower/front section of the premises thus opening up access to the restaurant and making a greater floor area available for restaurant and Bi-folding & Entry door suites fitted across the front of the premises. This change has proven to be a good move with a growing number of couples & groups looking for good quality meals and still premises can still cater for any clients who may be just looking for a quiet night out.

Due to the costs in lost turnover involved in the restaurant & bar being closed, the refit time frame had to be kept to an absolute minimum. The target timeframe was for the bar and restaurant to be cleared & packed up and readied for refurbishing after closing time on a Sunday night and to be open for trading a week later on the following Sunday evening.
